Seorang teman pernah menanyakan sebuah hal yang mungkin terasa aneh bagi saya.

Ini menjadi sebuah jawaban yang berputar putar terus dalam labirin. Karena saya tak tahu bagaimana menjawabnya. Sungguh. Rasa rasanya baru kemarin saya berkelana berhari hari syuting di selatan Jawa Barat dari Sukabumi, Cisolok, Pelabuhan Ratu. Pulang dan mengeditnya. Kemudian pergi recce atau hunting lokasi lagi di Jogjakarta dan Bali. Lalu kembali ke Jakarta. Kini, dua hari kemudian saya sudah duduk duduk di candi dasa, Bali bersama Christine Hakim . Menikmati kapucino Indocafe sachet yang dibawanya sambil memandangi pulau karang, Gili Topekong di Selat Lombok.
Ketika manusia menjadi pejalan jauh , ia sesungguhnya tidak kehilangan siapa siapa. Ia juga tak mencari cintanya. Pun tidak juga kehilangan rumahnya. Karena rumah itu akan selalu berada di hatinya kemana dia pergi. Sejauh apapun. Ini adalah bagian dari konsekuensi sebuah pencaharian yang disebut kerja.
Ya, bekerja ! Karena bekerja adalah ibadah.
Sehingga dalam cerpen AA Navis yang terkenal “ Robohnya Surau Kami “, si Ajo Sigi bercerita kepada Kakek penjaga surau itu bahwa Tuhan memilih memasukan Pak Haji Saleh ke dalam api neraka. Pak Haji yang sepanjang hidupnya tidak bekerja dan hanya berdoa serta memujii muji nama Allah saja.
Tentu saja diujung pergantian tahun ini, hal seperti ini menjadi refleksi diri sendiri tentang kualitas kerja yang bagaimana di tahun depan. Inilah bagi saya resolusi yang paling utama. Disamping berharap dunia yang lebih baik. Sebab pada akhirnya hasil kerja kita yang akan memberi kehidupan pada diri kita, orang orang yang kita cintai ,keluarga atau siapa saja. Sejauh ini saya masih belum merasa puas dengan pencapaian selama ini. Jalan masih berliku dan berlubang di sana sini.
Seorang seniman besar pernah mengatakan, bahwa seniman batinnya harus berkeringat, berdarah, berdenyut dan merasakan dalam bekerja. Ini tidak mudah. Semestinya kita tidak hanya bekerja an sich, tetapi juga bagaimana memperkaya batinnya menangkap makna kehidupan.
Dalam kesunyian perjalanan saya kali ini. Selat lombok yang sunyi adalah momen yang tepat untuk merenungkan semua ini. Melepas pergantian tahun bukan dengan budaya pop televisi, hura hura dan pesta kembang api. Angin laut yang keras bergemuruh tetap membuat rasa sunyi ini terasa berdenyut dan sekaligus berdarah.

Memang kadang orang bertanya, kapan kita ada dirumah? Bahkan ibu mertua pernah nanya…”Kok pulangnya malam-malam?” Padahal saat itu masih staf dan tiap hari masih pulang ke rumah. Seiring dengan meningkatnya karir, tuntutan pekerjaan makin berat, yang hari Sabtu Minggupun kadang terpaksa bekerja.
Tapi selalu ada waktu untuk sendiri, sejenak menikmati alam Lombok, atau mungkin Bromo…..dan merenungi kebesaran Sang Pencipta.
